Place of Work data is based on the Census question: "For the main job held last week, what was the person's workplace address?"
Destination zones are used to create an economic map of The Hills Shire, showing where people in each industry sector work. This provides an excellent spatial representation of where each industry's economic activity is conducted.
Some industries are clustered in business parks, or along major transport routes. Others are associated with institutions such as schools, universities and hospitals.
