An analysis of the local sales by industry sectors in the Town of Cambridge in 2021/22 shows the three largest industries were:

  • Construction ($350million or 16.6%)
  • Professional, Scientific and Technical Services ($296million or 14.1%)
  • Health Care and Social Assistance ($288million or 13.7%)

In combination these three industries accounted for $934 million in total or 44.4% of the total local sales by total industry in the the Town of Cambridge.

In comparison, the same 3 industries in Western Australia accounted for 19.6% in Construction; 6.1% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services and 4.8% in Health Care and Social Assistance.

The major differences between local sales by industries of the Town of Cambridge and Western Australia were:
