Dominant groups

In 2011, there were 122 people in the local resident workers who caught public transport to work (train, bus, tram or ferry) in Snowy Monaro Regional Council area, compared with 6,247 who drove in private vehicles (car – as driver, car – as passenger, motorbike, or truck).

Analysis of the method of travel to work of the local labour force in Snowy Monaro Regional Council area shows that 1.3% used public transport, while 66.1% used a private vehicle, compared with 1.8% and 72.7% respectively in Regional NSW.
