Analysis of the hours worked by Griffith City's local resident workers in 2011 compared to New South Wales shows that there was a similar proportion of people who worked part-time (34 hours or less) as well as a similar proportion of people worked full-time (35 hours or more).

Overall, 29.5% of the local resident workers worked part-time (34 hours or less), and 63.7% worked full-time (35 hours or more), compared with 29.9% and 64.0% respectively for New South Wales.

The major differences between the hours worked by the local resident workers of Griffith City and New South Wales were:
