Dominant groups

An analysis of the local sales by industry sectors in City of Joondalup in 2015/16 shows the three largest industries were:

  • Construction (1,645 people or 20.6%)
  • Rental, Hiring and Real Estate Services (1,232 people or 15.4%)
  • Health Care and Social Assistance (850 people or 10.6%)

In combination these three industries accounted for $3,727 million in total or 46.7% of the total local sales by total industry in the City of Joondalup.

In comparison, the same 3 industries in Western Australia accounted for 39.5% in Construction; 8.4% in Rental, Hiring and Real Estate Services; and 3.5% in Health Care and Social Assistance.
