Dominant groups

In 2011, there were 9,301 people in the local resident workers who caught public transport to work (train, bus, tram or ferry) in City of Joondalup, compared with 56,224 who drove in private vehicles (car – as driver, car – as passenger, motorbike, or truck).

Analysis of the method of travel to work of the local labour force in the City of Joondalup shows that 11.2% used public transport, while 67.7% used a private vehicle, compared with 10.5% and 67.8% respectively in Greater Perth.
