Infrastructure

The City of Mandurah is located just south of the Perth metropolitan area. The City encompasses a total land area of about 174 square kilometres. The City of Mandurah is a rapidly developing residential area, with substantial waterways, coastline and bushland.

The key employment sectors in the City of Mandurah are retail trade, health care, education, accommodation and food services, and construction. The City features four major retail centres: Halls Head Central Shopping Centre, Mandurah City Centre, Mandurah Forum Shopping Centre and Meadow Springs Shopping Centre. Other significant retail areas include Dawesville Shopping Centre, Mandurah Ocean Marina, Miami Plaza, Primewest Erskine Central Shopping Centre, and commercial areas along Pinjarra Road. The City of Mandurah features one major public and private health facility (Peel Health Campus) and numerous aged care facilities. The City is home to two tertiary institutions (Challenger Institute of Technology Peel Campus and Murdoch University Peel Campus), along with numerous private and public schools.
