Dominant groups

An analysis of the total imports by industry sectors in Murweh Shire in 2015/16 shows the three largest industries were:

  • Manufacturing ($75 million or 28.9%)
  • Transport, Postal and Warehousing ($40 million or 15.3%)
  • Professional, Scientific and Technical Services ($21 million or 8.1%)

In combination these three industries accounted for $136 million in total or 52.3% of the total imports by total industry in the Murweh Shire.

In comparison, the same 3 industries in Queensland accounted for 34.7% in Manufacturing; 4.9% in Transport, Postal and Warehousing; and 6.5% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services.
