Analysis of the local labour force individual income levels in Penrith City in 2011 compared to New South Wales shows that there was a lower proportion earning a high income (those earning $1,500 per week or more) as well as a lower proportion of low income persons (those earning less than $400 per week).
Overall, 15.7% of the local labour force earned a high income, and 14.3% earned a low income, compared with 22.1% and 15.8% respectively for New South Wales.
