Dominant groups

In 2011, there were 747 people in the local workers who caught public transport to work (train, bus, tram or ferry) in City of Rockingham, compared with 17,761 who drove in private vehicles (car – as driver, car – as passenger, motorbike, or truck).

Analysis of the method of travel to work of the local workers in the City of Rockingham in 2011 compared to Western Australia shows that 3.1% used public transport, while 73.3% used a private vehicle, compared with 9.5% and 67.2% respectively in Western Australia.
