Overall, 34.6% of the local labour force worked part-time (34 hours or less), and 58.2% worked full-time (35 hours or more), compared with 30.0% and 63.9% respectively for Queensland.

The major differences between the hours worked by the local labour force of Tablelands and Queensland were:
