Dominant groups

An analysis of the total exports by industry sectors in Yass Valley in 2015/16 shows the three largest industries were:

  • Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing ($205 million or 67.9%)
  • Manufacturing ($31 million or 10.2%)
  • Electricity, Gas, Water and Waste Services ($20 million or 6.7%)

In combination these three industries accounted for $256 million in total or 84.9% of the total exports by total industry in the Yass Valley.

In comparison, the same 3 industries in Australian Capital Territory accounted for 0.1% in Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing; 1.7% in Manufacturing; and 5.9% in Electricity, Gas, Water and Waste Services.
