Analysis of the female resident workers individual income levels in the City of Adelaide in 2016 compared to Education and Training shows that there was a lower proportion earning a high income (those earning $1,750 per week or more) and a higher proportion of low income persons (those earning less than $500 per week).
Overall, 19.7% of the female resident workers earned a high income, and 23.8% earned a low income, compared with 28.7% and 17.4% respectively for Education and Training.
The major differences between the weekly income of the female resident workers in the City of Adelaide and Education and Training were:
- A larger percentage of female resident workers earned $500 - $649 (7.7% compared to 4.4%)
- A smaller percentage of female resident workers earned $1,750 - $1,999 (6.2% compared to 12.3%)
- A smaller percentage of female resident workers earned $1,250 - $1,499 (9.2% compared to 13.0%)
- A smaller percentage of female resident workers earned $2,000 - $2,999 (8.0% compared to 11.3%)
