Dominant groups
Analysis of the jobs held by the resident workforce in the City of Adelaide in 2021shows the three most popular industry sectors were:
- Health Care and Social Assistance (1,908 people or 15.1%)
- Professional, Scientific and Technical Services (1,774 people or 14.0%)
- Accommodation and Food Services (1,700 people or 13.4%)
In combination these three industries employed 5,382 people in total or 42.6% of the total resident workforce.
In comparison, South Australia employed 16.4% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 6.2% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services and 6.6% in Accommodation and Food Services.
