An analysis of the local sales by industry sectors in City of Albany in 2016/17 shows the three largest industries were:

  • Construction (590 people or 21.7%)
  • Rental, Hiring and Real Estate Services (406 people or 14.9%)
  • Health Care and Social Assistance (203 people or 7.4%)

In combination these three industries accounted for $1,199 million in total or 44.0% of the total local sales by total industry in the City of Albany.

In comparison, the same 3 industries in Regional WA accounted for 30.2% in Construction; 7.3% in Rental, Hiring and Real Estate Services; and 3.7% in Health Care and Social Assistance.
