Output by industry is a gross measure of the total sales of each industry sector in the City of Armadale. It does not measure how productive each industry sector is at producing this output - which is measured by value added.

Dominant groups
An analysis of the output by industry sectors in the City of Armadale in 2022/23 shows the three largest industries were:
- Construction ($1,520 million or 25.2%)
- Health Care and Social Assistance ($651 million or 10.8%)
- Manufacturing ($639 million or 10.6%)
In combination these three industries accounted for $2,811 million in total or 46.5% of the total output by total industry in the the City of Armadale.
In comparison, the same 3 industries in Western Australia accounted for 10.5% in Construction; 4.0% in Health Care and Social Assistance and 10.0% in Manufacturing.
The major differences between output by industries of the City of Armadale and Western Australia were:
