An analysis of the local sales by industry sectors in the Shire of Augusta-Margaret River in 2022/23 shows the three largest industries were:
- Construction ($398million or 30.9%)
- Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing ($102million or 7.9%)
- Health Care and Social Assistance ($84million or 6.5%)
In combination these three industries accounted for $584 million in total or 45.3% of the total local sales by total industry in the the Shire of Augusta-Margaret River.
In comparison, the same 3 industries in Western Australia accounted for 25.2% in Construction; 1.7% in Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing and 5.8% in Health Care and Social Assistance.
