Value added by industry is an indicator of business productivity in Bellingen Shire. It shows how productive each industry sector is at increasing the value of its inputs. An analysis of the valued added by industry sectors in Bellingen Shire in 2021/22 shows the three largest industries were:

- Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing (50 million or 12.5%)
- Education and Training (42 million or 10.5%)
