Analysis of the local labour force individual income levels in the City of Greater Bendigo in 2016 compared to Victoria shows that there was a lower proportion earning a high income (those earning $1,750 per week or more) and a higher proportion of low income persons (those earning less than $500 per week).
Overall, 11.8% of the local labour force earned a high income, and 20.3% earned a low income, compared with 17.6% and 18.7% respectively for Victoria.
The major differences between the weekly income of the people in the local labour force in the City of Greater Bendigo and Victoria were:
