An analysis of the total exports by industry sectors in Bundaberg Regional Council in 2017/18 shows the three largest industries were:
- Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing ($832 million or 42.2%)
- Manufacturing ($508 million or 25.8%)
- Transport, Postal and Warehousing ($136 million or 6.9%)
In combination these three industries accounted for $1,476 million in total or 74.9% of the total exports by total industry in the Bundaberg Regional Council.
In comparison, the same 3 industries in South East Queensland accounted for 2.0% in Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing; 19.1% in Manufacturing; and 13.9% in Transport, Postal and Warehousing.
The major differences between total exports by industries in the Bundaberg Regional Council and South East Queensland were:
- A larger percentage of total exports by Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing (42.2% compared to 2.0%)
- A larger percentage of total exports by Manufacturing (25.8% compared to 19.1%)
