An analysis of the domestic exports by industry sectors in Bundaberg Regional Council in 2017/18 shows the three largest industries were:
- Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing ($664 million or 41.5%)
- Manufacturing ($348 million or 21.8%)
- Transport, Postal and Warehousing ($126 million or 7.9%)
In combination these three industries accounted for $1,138 million in total or 71.1% of the total domestic export by total industry in the Bundaberg Regional Council.
In comparison, the same 3 industries in Queensland accounted for 8.6% in Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing; 11.5% in Manufacturing; and 11.3% in Transport, Postal and Warehousing.
The major differences between domestic exports by industries in the Bundaberg Regional Council and Queensland were:
- A larger percentage of domestic exports by Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing (41.5% compared to 8.6%)
- A larger percentage of domestic exports by Manufacturing (21.8% compared to 11.5%)
- A smaller percentage of domestic exports by Mining (1.4% compared to 11.5%)
