An analysis of the output by industry sectors in Bundaberg Regional Council in 2017/18 shows the three largest industries were:
- Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing ($168 million or 45.2%)
- Manufacturing ($160 million or 43.2%)
- Transport, Postal and Warehousing ($10 million or 2.8%)
In combination these three industries accounted for $338 million in total or 91.2% of the total output by total industry in the Bundaberg Regional Council.
In comparison, the same 3 industries in Queensland accounted for 3.0% in Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing; 24.5% in Manufacturing; and 9.4% in Transport, Postal and Warehousing.
The major differences between international exports by industries in the Bundaberg Regional Council and Queensland were:
- A larger percentage of international exports by Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing (45.2% compared to 3.0%)
- A larger percentage of international exports by Manufacturing (43.2% compared to 24.5%)
