Analysis of the resident workers (Wholesale Trade) individual income levels in Cairns in 2016 compared to Accommodation and Food Services shows that there was a higher proportion earning a high income (those earning $1,750 per week or more) and a lower proportion of low income persons (those earning less than $500 per week).
Overall, 9.5% of the resident workers (Wholesale Trade) earned a high income, and 8.3% earned a low income, compared with 2.8% and 35.6% respectively for Accommodation and Food Services.
