Analysis of the resident workers (Education and Training) individual income levels in Cairns in 2016 compared to Other Services shows that there was a higher proportion earning a high income (those earning $1,750 per week or more) and a lower proportion of low income persons (those earning less than $500 per week).
Overall, 15.8% of the resident workers (Education and Training) earned a high income, and 13.9% earned a low income, compared with 6.9% and 20.3% respectively for Other Services.
