An analysis of the total imports by industry sectors in Camden Council area in 2016/17 shows the three largest industries were:

  • Manufacturing ($1,018 million or 32.0%)
  • Financial and Insurance Services ($468 million or 14.7%)
  • Public Administration and Safety ($264 million or 8.3%)

In combination these three industries accounted for $1,750 million in total or 55.0% of the total imports by total industry in Camden Council area.

In comparison, the same 3 industries in Greater Sydney accounted for 30.2% in Manufacturing; 10.7% in Financial and Insurance Services; and 5.6% in Public Administration and Safety.
