Dominant groups

An analysis of the total exports by industry sectors in the City of Canning in 2021/22 shows the three largest industries were:

  • Manufacturing (4,062 million or 31.5%)
  • Wholesale Trade (3,031 million or 23.5%)
  • Mining (1,898 million or 14.7%)

In combination these three industries accounted for 8,991 million in total or 69.8% of the total exports by industry in the the City of Canning.

In comparison, the same 3 industries in Western Australia accounted for 12.9% in Manufacturing; 2.6% in Wholesale Trade and 58.6% in Mining.
