Dominant groups

An analysis of the total exports by industry sectors in the City of Canning in 2021/22 shows the three largest industries were:

  • Manufacturing (2,970 million or 29.5%)
  • Wholesale Trade (2,391 million or 23.7%)
  • Mining (1,653 million or 16.4%)

In combination these three industries accounted for 7,014 million in total or 69.6% of the total exports by industry in the the City of Canning.

In comparison, the same 3 industries in Western Australia accounted for 11.9% in Manufacturing; 2.9% in Wholesale Trade and 54.9% in Mining.

The major differences between the total exports by industries of the City of Canning and Western Australia were:
