An analysis of the total imports by industry sectors in the City of Canning in 2022/23 shows the three largest industries were:

  • Manufacturing ($2,794 million or 27.6%)
  • Mining ($1,934 million or 19.1%)
  • Professional, Scientific and Technical Services ($1,375 million or 13.6%)

In combination these three industries accounted for $6,103 million in total or 60.4% of the total imports by industry in the the City of Canning.

In comparison, the same 3 industries in Western Australia accounted for 26.7% in Manufacturing; 17.9% in Mining and 7.9% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services.
