An analysis of the total imports by industry sectors in the City of Casey in 2022/23 shows the three largest industries were:

- Public Administration and Safety ($2,150 million or 13.2%)
- Health Care and Social Assistance ($1,546 million or 9.5%)
In combination these three industries accounted for $8,207 million in total or 50.4% of the total imports by industry in the the City of Casey.
In comparison, the same 3 industries in Greater Melbourne accounted for 31.9% in Manufacturing; 6.4% in Public Administration and Safety and 5.1% in Health Care and Social Assistance.
