Dominant groups
An analysis of the total exports by industry sectors in Central Coast Council area in 2021/22 shows the three largest industries were:
- Manufacturing (1,813 million or 31.9%)
- Health Care and Social Assistance (537 million or 9.5%)
- Accommodation and Food Services (486 million or 8.6%)
In combination these three industries accounted for 2,836 million in total or 49.9% of the total exports by industry in the Central Coast Council area.
In comparison, the same 3 industries in Greater Sydney accounted for 13.5% in Manufacturing; 3.9% in Health Care and Social Assistance and 1.6% in Accommodation and Food Services.
The major differences between the total exports by industries of Central Coast Council area and Greater Sydney were:
- A larger percentage of total exports by Manufacturing (31.9% compared to 13.5%)
- A smaller percentage of total exports by Financial and Insurance Services (1.9% compared to 19.6%)
