Dominant groups
An analysis of the local sales by industry sectors in Central Coast Council area in 2022/23 shows the three largest industries were:
- Construction ($5,020million or 18.9%)
- Health Care and Social Assistance ($2,973million or 11.2%)
- Manufacturing ($2,335million or 8.8%)
In combination these three industries accounted for $10,328 million in total or 38.9% of the total local sales by total industry in the Central Coast Council area.
In comparison, the same 3 industries in New South Wales accounted for 21.4% in Construction; 6.6% in Health Care and Social Assistance and 6.4% in Manufacturing.
The major differences between local sales by industries of Central Coast Council area and New South Wales were:
