Analysis of the female resident workers individual income levels in the Cook Shire in 2016 compared to Queensland shows that there was a lower proportion earning a high income (those earning $1,750 per week or more) as well as a lower proportion of low income persons (those earning less than $500 per week).
Overall, 8.1% of the female resident workers earned a high income, and 22.0% earned a low income, compared with 9.8% and 23.0% respectively for Queensland.
The major differences between the weekly income of the female resident workers in the Cook Shire and Queensland were:

- A larger percentage of female resident workers earned Not stated (3.3% compared to 1.5%)
