An analysis of the total imports by industry sectors in Circular Head Council area in 2017/18 shows the three largest industries were:
- Manufacturing ($219 million or 27.5%)
- Health Care and Social Assistance ($84 million or 10.5%)
- Financial and Insurance Services ($84 million or 10.5%)
In combination these three industries accounted for $386 million in total or 48.6% of the total imports by total industry in Circular Head Council area.
In comparison, the same 3 industries in Greater Hobart accounted for 33.7% in Manufacturing; 6.0% in Health Care and Social Assistance; and 7.2% in Financial and Insurance Services.
The major differences between total imports by industries in Circular Head Council area and Greater Hobart were:
