An analysis of the local sales by industry sectors in the Murchison Area in 2018/19 shows the three largest industries were:

  • Construction ($676million or 38.6%)
  • Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing ($185million or 10.6%)
  • Manufacturing ($145million or 8.3%)

In combination these three industries accounted for $1,006 million in total or 57.5% of the total local sales by total industry in the the Murchison Area.

In comparison, the same 3 industries in Tasmania accounted for 23.0% in Construction; 5.0% in Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing and 6.7% in Manufacturing.
