Dominant groups

An analysis of the total exports by industry sectors in Federation Council area in 2021/22 shows the three largest industries were:

  • Manufacturing (541 million or 57.2%)
  • Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing (300 million or 31.7%)
  • Transport, Postal and Warehousing (46 million or 4.9%)

In combination these three industries accounted for 888 million in total or 93.8% of the total exports by industry in the Federation Council area.

In comparison, the same 3 industries in NSW accounted for 14.3% in Manufacturing; 4.1% in Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing and 10.4% in Transport, Postal and Warehousing.

The major differences between the total exports by industries of Federation Council area and NSW were:
