In 2016, there were 474 resident workers in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services who caught public transport to work (train, bus, tram or ferry) in Gladstone Regional Council area, compared with 747 who drove in private vehicles (car – as driver, car – as passenger, motorbike, or truck).
Analysis of the method of travel to work of the resident workers in Gladstone Regional Council area shows that 29.9% used public transport, while 47.1% used a private vehicle, compared with 17.1% and 53.8% respectively in Queensland.
