Dominant groups
An analysis of the total imports by industry sectors in Gold Coast City in 2022/23 shows the three largest industries were:
- Manufacturing ($9,513 million or 36.2%)
- Public Administration and Safety ($2,742 million or 10.4%)
- Financial and Insurance Services ($2,108 million or 8.0%)
In combination these three industries accounted for $14,364 million in total or 54.7% of the total imports by industry in the Gold Coast City.
In comparison, the same 3 industries in Queensland accounted for 33.3% in Manufacturing; 5.4% in Public Administration and Safety and 8.3% in Financial and Insurance Services.
The major differences between total imports by industries of Gold Coast City and Queensland were:
