An analysis of the total exports by industry sectors in the Grow South East (South East Metropolitan Region) in 2019/20 shows the three largest industries were:
- Manufacturing (7,710 million or 23.6%)
- Transport, Postal and Warehousing (6,350 million or 19.4%)
- Mining (5,710 million or 17.5%)
In combination these three industries accounted for 19,769 million in total or 60.5% of the total exports by industry in the the Grow South East (South East Metropolitan Region).
In comparison, the same 3 industries in Western Australia accounted for 14.6% in Manufacturing; 4.1% in Transport, Postal and Warehousing and 55.8% in Mining.
The major differences between the total exports by industries of the Grow South East (South East Metropolitan Region) and Western Australia were:
- A smaller percentage of total exports by Mining (17.5% compared to 55.8%)
- A larger percentage of total exports by Transport, Postal and Warehousing (19.4% compared to 4.1%)
