An analysis of the total imports by industry sectors in Gunnedah Shire in 2021/22 shows the three largest industries were:

  • Manufacturing ($259 million or 29.4%)
  • Financial and Insurance Services ($114 million or 12.9%)
  • Health Care and Social Assistance ($81 million or 9.2%)

In combination these three industries accounted for $454 million in total or 51.6% of the total imports by industry in the Gunnedah Shire.
