Please note – The 2016 Census used a new methodology to “impute” a work location to people who didn’t state their workplace address. As a result, 2016 and 2011 place of work data are not normally comparable. Dominant groups

Analysis of the fields of qualifications of the Education and Training shows that the three largest fields of qualification were:

  • Education (236 people or 54.3%)
  • Society and Culture (40 people or 9.2%)
  • Management and Commerce (28 people or 6.4%)

In combination these three fields accounted for 304 people in total or 69.9% of the Education and Training .

In comparison, the Public Administration and Safety workforce within Gunnedah Shire employed 1.9% in Education; 17.0% in Society and Culture; and 17.8% in Management and Commerce.
