Dominant groups
An analysis of the total imports by industry sectors in the Shire of Harvey in 2022/23 shows the three largest industries were:
- Manufacturing ($726 million or 23.6%)
- Mining ($451 million or 14.7%)
- Health Care and Social Assistance ($272 million or 8.9%)
In combination these three industries accounted for $1,449 million in total or 47.2% of the total imports by industry in the the Shire of Harvey.
In comparison, the same 3 industries in Regional WA accounted for 23.9% in Manufacturing; 24.2% in Mining and 2.6% in Health Care and Social Assistance.
The major differences between total imports by industries of the Shire of Harvey and Regional WA were:
- A smaller percentage of total imports by Mining (14.7% compared to 24.2%)
- A larger percentage of total imports by Health Care and Social Assistance (8.9% compared to 2.6%)
