Dominant groups
An analysis of the local sales by industry sectors in the Shire of Harvey in 2022/23 shows the three largest industries were:
- Construction ($1,292million or 49.8%)
- Mining ($259million or 10.0%)
- Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing ($171million or 6.6%)
In combination these three industries accounted for $1,722 million in total or 66.4% of the total local sales by total industry in the the Shire of Harvey.
In comparison, the same 3 industries in Regional WA accounted for 28.8% in Construction; 31.0% in Mining and 3.7% in Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing.
The major differences between local sales by industries of the Shire of Harvey and Regional WA were:
