Dominant groups

An analysis of the total exports by industry sectors in the Hilltops Council area in 2021/22 shows the three largest industries were:

  • Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing (536 million or 67.3%)
  • Manufacturing (76 million or 9.6%)
  • Transport, Postal and Warehousing (37 million or 4.7%)

In combination these three industries accounted for 650 million in total or 81.5% of the total exports by industry in the the Hilltops Council area.

In comparison, the same 3 industries in NSW accounted for 4.1% in Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing; 14.3% in Manufacturing and 10.4% in Transport, Postal and Warehousing.

The major differences between the total exports by industries of the Hilltops Council area and NSW were:
