Dominant groups

An analysis of the total exports by industry sectors in the Hilltops Council area in 2019/20 shows the three largest industries were:

  • Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing (447 million or 53.6%)
  • Manufacturing (115 million or 13.8%)
  • Mining (111 million or 13.3%)

In combination these three industries accounted for 673 million in total or 80.7% of the total exports by industry in the the Hilltops Council area.

In comparison, the same 3 industries in NSW accounted for 3.1% in Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing; 16.6% in Manufacturing and 7.0% in Mining.

The major differences between the total exports by industries of the Hilltops Council area and NSW were:
