Dominant groups

An analysis of the total exports by industry sectors in the Hilltops Council area in 2021/22 shows the three largest industries were:

  • Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing (535 million or 74.5%)
  • Manufacturing (53 million or 7.4%)
  • Transport, Postal and Warehousing (26 million or 3.6%)

In combination these three industries accounted for 614 million in total or 85.6% of the total exports by industry in the the Hilltops Council area.

In comparison, the same 3 industries in NSW accounted for 4.9% in Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing; 15.1% in Manufacturing and 7.2% in Transport, Postal and Warehousing.

The major differences between the total exports by industries of the Hilltops Council area and NSW were:
