An analysis of the total exports by industry sectors in Inner West Council area in 2017/18 shows the three largest industries were:
- Manufacturing ($1,058 million or 25.5%)
- Wholesale Trade ($543 million or 13.1%)
- Professional, Scientific and Technical Services ($457 million or 11.0%)
In combination these three industries accounted for $2,058 million in total or 49.6% of the total exports by total industry in the Inner West Council area.
In comparison, the same 3 industries in New South Wales accounted for 15.3% in Manufacturing; 6.6% in Wholesale Trade; and 9.3% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services.
The major differences between total exports by industries in the Inner West Council area and New South Wales were:
