An analysis of the local sales by industry sectors in Kiama Municipality in 2022/23 shows the three largest industries were:
- Construction ($416million or 29.8%)
- Rental, Hiring and Real Estate Services ($142million or 10.2%)
- Professional, Scientific and Technical Services ($128million or 9.2%)
In combination these three industries accounted for $686 million in total or 49.2% of the total local sales by total industry in the Kiama Municipality.
In comparison, the same 3 industries in New South Wales accounted for 21.4% in Construction; 9.1% in Rental, Hiring and Real Estate Services and 9.5% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services.
