Dominant groups
An analysis of the total imports by industry sectors in the City of Knox in 2022/23 shows the three largest industries were:
- Manufacturing ($2,914 million or 30.7%)
- Transport, Postal and Warehousing ($992 million or 10.4%)
- Mining ($786 million or 8.3%)
In combination these three industries accounted for $4,693 million in total or 49.4% of the total imports by industry in the the City of Knox.
In comparison, the same 3 industries in Victoria accounted for 32.0% in Manufacturing; 8.6% in Transport, Postal and Warehousing and 5.4% in Mining.
The major differences between total imports by industries of the City of Knox and Victoria were:
