Dominant groups
An analysis of the total exports by industry sectors in the City of Launceston in 2021/22 shows the three largest industries were:
- Health Care and Social Assistance (1,016 million or 30.3%)
- Transport, Postal and Warehousing (489 million or 14.6%)
- Financial and Insurance Services (341 million or 10.2%)
In combination these three industries accounted for 1,846 million in total or 55.0% of the total exports by industry in the the City of Launceston.
In comparison, the same 3 industries in Tasmania accounted for 14.9% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 10.6% in Transport, Postal and Warehousing and 4.4% in Financial and Insurance Services.
