An analysis of the total exports by industry sectors in the Maribyrnong City in 2021/22 shows the three largest industries were:
- Manufacturing (862 million or 23.9%)
- Health Care and Social Assistance (551 million or 15.3%)
- Transport, Postal and Warehousing (452 million or 12.6%)
In combination these three industries accounted for 1,864 million in total or 51.8% of the total exports by industry in the the Maribyrnong City.
In comparison, the same 3 industries in Victoria accounted for 21.2% in Manufacturing; 6.0% in Health Care and Social Assistance and 7.1% in Transport, Postal and Warehousing.
The major differences between the total exports by industries of the Maribyrnong City and Victoria were:
- A smaller percentage of total exports by Financial and Insurance Services (1.3% compared to 13.5%)
