- Construction ($13,742million or 14.0%)
- Financial and Insurance Services ($13,088million or 13.3%)
In combination these three industries accounted for $47,313 million in total or 48.2% of the total local sales by total industry in the the City of Melbourne.
In comparison, the same 3 industries in Victoria accounted for 8.9% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services; 22.8% in Construction and 5.4% in Financial and Insurance Services.
The major differences between local sales by industries of the City of Melbourne and Victoria were:
